WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENS

Your first 30 minutes, minute by minute

No pressure, no sales pitch. Here’s exactly how the free lesson goes.

MINUTES 0–5

Hello & your goals

Austin asks what you (or your child) want to play and what’s been tried before. Nervous beginners welcome — most students are.

MINUTES 5–20

Play together

Hands on the keys right away. Austin watches your hands over Zoom, fixes one thing on the spot, and you hear the difference immediately.

MINUTES 20–30

Your personal plan

Where you’re starting, what’s next, and roughly how long to your first real song. You keep the plan whether or not you book more.

🤝
Austin’s promise

If the trial doesn’t feel like a fit, he’ll tell you honestly what to look for in a teacher — and you still leave with your plan. No follow-up calls, no pressure.

MEET YOUR TEACHER

Hi, I’m Austin. I’ve been playing piano since I was five — and honestly, I didn’t like the stiff, traditional way I was first taught. So I built my own way: we start with the music you love, and I make a plan around it. First lesson, I just want to know where you are and what you’re excited to play. Kids get games, beginners get real wins early, and nobody gets scolded over scales.

Questions, answered

Do I need a piano at home?

A keyboard with 61+ keys is fine to start. If you don’t have one yet, Austin will help you choose during your trial — a good beginner setup runs well under $200.

What do I need for a Zoom lesson?

A laptop, tablet, or phone with a camera, placed near your keyboard. Your Zoom link arrives automatically with your confirmation email.

Is it really free? What’s the catch?

Really free — 30 minutes, no card, no obligation. If it’s a fit, you can keep going with Austin afterward. If not, you still leave with a plan.

Are online lessons as good as in-person?

Yes — live, one-on-one over Zoom, with the same teacher every week and a personal plan. You see the keys, Austin sees your hands, and you practice on your own piano at home.

Is my child too young — or am I too old?

Austin teaches ages five to retirement, and adult beginners are a big part of the studio. The trial is exactly how we find the right starting point.

What if I need to reschedule?

No problem — your confirmation email has a reschedule link, and you can move your lesson right up until the day before.

Ready? Your first lesson is free.
